A journey: travelling from one place to another - in space and time

I was born in Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic) a few years before the Velvet revolution (1989). This historic occassion has set my country and its people free (not only to travel). I was taught by my parents that material things are not important and that it is the knowledge and the experience that matter in life. I love learning new things and I believe travelling is the best school of life. Sweden, Japan, Macedonia, USA, Italy, Canada and Ireland are some of the countries I had the opportunity to explore. I spent three and half years working on my PhD in analytical chemistry / mass spectrometry in the Netherlands (Amsterdam and Maastricht) and commuting between the "Lowlands" and Switzerland. I am currently living in Tasmania, Australia.
