JourneysAnytime I make a journey, I create a travel diary, where I note down all the activities and all the reflections caught during the trip. Some of the notes might be of use to the travellers heading to the same destinations. Some might be a good source of fun and relax. In 2010 I decided to rewrite some of my travel diaries and make them accessible to the broad spectrum of readers. Since then I keep writing the travel notes online.
Most of my travel diaries were, however, written in Czech. In English version you can find posts from my study internship in Stockholm, where I spent four months in Autumn/Winter 2010 working on my master thesis. The travel diaries from a journey across the United States and from Macedonia are at the moment available only in Czech. Other countries I visited and want to share the experiences from are Italy, Canada and Ireland. In these three countries I attended the summer language courses. I am also open to any questions you might have regarding the stays and am willing to share tips and advices. In October 2012 I've come to Amsterdam, The Netherlands, to work for half a year in a research institute (within a scope of a research fellowship). In the end I not only spent here 6 months but also started a 3-year PhD programme at FOM-Institute AMOLF. I am currently living in Amsterdam and as you might have expected, you can contact me in case you have any question regarding the expat in Holland. You will find the posts about life in Holland in the series Czech Expat in Holland, which should expand soon. |
